Tone and Volume...
Both without Compromise.

Every guitar I have ever fallen in Love with—that I just couldn’t put down—was lightly constructed. No laminated sides or backs. No massive internal stiffening structures. Just wood. Perfectly thinned out to be free to vibrate—shaking me, and in turn, my Heart...
This is how a Cooper Guitar is made.

“Playing a Jeremy Cooper guitar is truly special. Crafted with meticulous care, it blends classic warmth with a powerful presence that's both captivating and inspiring. Its smooth playability encourages creativity, while its timeless design captures the essence of craftsmanship. In essence, a Jeremy Cooper guitar is more than an instrument—it's a masterpiece that speaks volumes about the artistry of its maker and the joy of making music.”

Testimonials

"I came across a Cooper’s Guitar through the recommendation of my Professor Nicholas Goluses. When I managed to test one, I was amazed by how it was powerful and loud and yet I was able to keep my sweet tone and bring out every nuance in my pieces. The process of buying the guitar and being part of the process when it was being build was both fulfilling and rewarding. Jeremy explained to me everything thoroughly in a manner I could understand and adapted some of his building to my unique playing style. I am convinced that this has been the greatest investment I have ever done."
—Andre Ramos

"My Cooper is everything I look for in a guitar. It’s expressive, loud, balanced, plays effortlessly, and is gorgeous to look at. It’s a true quality concert instrument that’s a joy to play."
Dr. David Sewell  (Coalesco: Harpsichord Music Album)

Brazilian

Starting at $12000

I first learned of the Assad Brothers through a different world than one might expect. Before I was a guitar maker, I was a dancer of Argentine Tango. The Assad’s album of Piazzolla’s music found me through that community. It was 2001 and the same year I built my first guitar.

Back then I could never have imagined that someday they would both be performing on my guitars.

It wasn't until 2005 that I discovered, to my delight, that they come to my home town of Tucson to teach as artists in residence at the University of Arizona every year. That year on Easter day, I met them for the first time as they were giving a master class. I let them borrow my latest guitar and the next day in the green room behind the concert hall, after their concert, Odair ordered his first of what has now grown to be three Coopers.

In 2021, Sergio, on his own (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) came to Tucson. He had been teaching on UA Guitar professor, Tom Patterson’s Cooper. Sergio told me it was the most powerful guitar he had ever played "that still sounded like a guitar." Subsequently, he and his brother both ordered guitars on the condition that they were as good as Tom’s. Sergio was happily amazed, and said they were both better. That they were both simply "magic!"

This model sports the same design features as the two guitars built for the illustrious brothers back in 2022. A Balsa-core double-top as well as a mahogany neck with elevated, African Blackwood fingerboard (for more density to drive more string energy into the soundboard, giving the guitar more sustain) and V-jointed head.
